I’ve loved books and authors for my entire life!! I wrote E.L. Konisburg a letter when I was in fifth grade, and she wrote me back! I grew up to be a teacher, and then a teacher librarian. No matter the buidling, grade level or the decade involved, my goal was to connect students with great books. I wanted reading to not only come alive for students, but to touch their hearts and their minds. Ultimately, I wanted to connect us as humans.
What better way to connect, than through conversations with AUTHORS!
Author’s Studio was ‘born’ to do just that. It’s a labor of love that showcases not only incredible authors and their stories, but gives students and their teachers multimedia resources that provide glimpses into the author’s world, including their inspiration, their thinking and their books.
